RESERVATIONS
Kayaking
Ages 6 +
Learn proper techniques and strokes of kayaking, as well as the specific parts of the kayak and paddle. Instructors will provide a guided harbor tour through popular routes or choose your own route with our instructors following closely behind.
Participants 6-7 years old must paddle in tandem with a partner who is 11+ years or a parent.
Harbor Cruise
Ages 6 +
Hop aboard one of Sea Base's big boats and cruise the harbor with our Captain for a fun and activity-based adventure that includes birding with binoculars and looking for sea lions. Enjoy a scenic cruise with a splash of education and exploration!

Canoeing
Ages 6 +
Learn the techniques of how to to canoe while exploring Newport Harbor. On this excursion, your instructors will guide you through the harbor and show you the best way to see the harbor, from right on the water.

Bay Fishing
Ages 10 +
Hop aboard the NSB Fishing Boat and hit the hot spots for the best catch around Newport Harbor! Learn which equipment to use for various kinds of fish and how to best rig your tackle. We provide fishing rods, tackle, bait, and expert instructors to guide you!
NOTE: Anglers ages 16 and up must carry a valid California Fishing License (Purchase online or at a tackle shop. Fishing license not available at Newport Sea Base).
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Ages 10 +
Spend a few hours on the water stand up paddle boarding with a guided tour through Newport Harbor. Learn proper techniques and strokes, as well as the specific parts of the paddle craft and paddle. Instructors will provide a guided harbor tour through popular routes or choose your own route with our instructors following closely behind.
Sailing
Ages 7 +
This is a Beginner-Intermediate private group lesson with 3-4 people per sailboat. Spend a day harnessing the power of the wind. Learn how to rig your own boat, sail upwind, downwind, and learn the basics to maneuver your sailboat around the harbor with an experienced US Sailing Level Certified Instructor coaching you all along the way ensuring safety and fun.
